Santiago del Teide has several approved and clearly marked paths for hikers to enjoy the lovely valley.
One of these routes is the SL-TF60, 9km and 4 hours: this route leads to the village of Arguayo, and during the journey you can enjoy the flora typical of the valley (almond trees) and mountain Bilma. The route is medium difficulty, since it runs on stony ground.
Another favorite routes of Tenerife, is the path PR-TF 65, 8km and 3 hours and a half: this route leads to the Port of Santiago, and during the journey you can enjoy a gallery of water, next to the bed of Tamaimo canyon. The route is medium difficulty, since the path runs through an area with little vegetation to protect us from sun.
From the last route described also depart following; PR-TF 65.1 (El Molledo-Risco Blanco), PR-TF 65.2 (Tamaimo-Cross of the Missionaries) and PR-TF 65.3 (El Molledo-Degollada del Roque) trails. The Tourist Information Office of Santiago del Teide has maps available for visitors.
